Our Care Workers can assist you with light household duties as part of your personal care. If you are able to complete these tasks yourself in order to maintain independence in your own home, our Care Workers can just be on hand to offer support with the following where required:

  • Light Household Cleaning Vacuuming, dusting and internal window cleaning of the rooms you use. Ensuring your kitchen and bathroom are clean and tidy. Unfortunately, they will not be able to move heavy or bulky items of furniture.
  • Laundry Service If you have a washing machine your Care Worker will load and unload it for you and hang or fold washed and dried clothing. Alternatively, your Care Worker may arrange for a service wash at a local launderette.
  • Shopping and Errands Your Care Worker can help you with your shopping and carry out small errands on your behalf. Any money you may give them is accurately accounted for and you will always get a receipt from the shop.
  • Medication Collection Your Care Worker can put in requests for repeat prescriptions on your behalf and collect the medication from the local pharmacy.
  • Payment of Bills We can help you with the payment of any bills you may have for example by helping you make sure that you pay the correct amount and going to the bank or Post Office to pay them.
